Not a per-capita rate: City-level counts here are absolute incident totals. Comparing one city's count to another without normalising for population can mislead — see the Crime Severity Index for severity-weighted, population-adjusted rankings.
Different coverage windows: Cities in this province may have different start dates and data recency. Read counts as selected-window totals, not directly comparable annual figures unless the page says so.
Different taxonomies: Police services classify offences slightly differently. Our pipeline normalises labels into 13 standard categories, but the source taxonomies are not identical.
